About Indiana Towing & Wrecker Association
The Indiana Towing and Wrecker Association (ITWA) is a trade association serving the towing industry throughout Indiana. Incorporated on February 17, 1969, by Henry Cristofori, Robert Mullen and Roger Kinman, the organization works to establish and maintain laws and regulations supporting the towing industry, collect and distribute pertinent information, and protect industry interests. The association is headquartered in Crawfordsville, Indiana. As of January 1, 2026, Bill McClannahan serves as President and Sue Miles as Executive Director. ITWA monitors legislative developments affecting towing operations, including recent House Bill 1184 which established credit card payment requirements, private property tow-away zone signage standards, and emergency response access provisions for tow operators.
