About Truchan Towing & Recovery, Inc.
Truchan Towing & Recovery provides towing and recovery services to Jersey City, Hudson County, and the surrounding area since 1985. This family-run, woman-owned business offers 24/7 emergency flatbed and wheel-lift towing for light-to-medium duty vehicles, both local and long-distance. Services include roadside assistance such as lockout service and battery jumpstarts, as well as private property towing for illegally parked vehicles. Originally founded as Truchan Brothers Auto & Towing by Anthony P. Truchan, Jr. and his brother Peter, the company grew from one truck to a fleet of 20 trucks with 26 employees. After Anthony's passing in 2019, his wife Grace took over full ownership and management. The company currently operates a fleet of five tow trucks with a trained team. Office hours for vehicle releases are Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, and weekends by appointment only, though towing services remain available around the clock.
